Mushroom Ice Dye

This shirt features a Mushroom done with a shadow muck dyed process surrounded by a chaotic rainbow palette.  Muck dye uses an ice dye technique that uniquely blends the colours directly on the fabric. Close up shots show the intricacies in how the dye splits and runs which is exclusive to the ice dye process. The shadow part of this process is the additional black layer added for extra depth. It's the melting of the ice cubes on pigment which gives this unique watercolour effect. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it. 

All Tie Dyes are made using 100% cotton and Procion MX dyes. everything is set for 24 hours (some are assisted with heat as i live in a cooler climate than some dyers) before being hand washed and heat soaked to assure little to no future colour bleed. For best colour last, as with most companies, we suggest washing on cold with like colours, hang to dry when possible. And if you are busy like me than you may like to hear that personally i have washed hot, mix my laundry and to date, have had no issues.
