"Butterflies in your stomach" Heart bubbles

I had fun taking some classic folds and reworking them into this new design. A chain of hearts flows up the middle and pours out onto the sleeve. Taking the kind of happy "butterflies in your stomach" feeling of bubbly love and pink glow then  bordering it with the excitement of colour blasts erupting from the sides like fireworks. Wearable art that reflects deeper meaning. 

This shirt was dyed using an ice dye technique known as "muck dye". Close up shots show the intricacies in the dye splits and runs exclusive to this process. It's the melting of the ice cubes on pigment into a light submersion which gives this unique watercolour effect with such deep undertones. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it. 

All Tie Dyes are made using 100% cotton and Procion MX dyes. everything is set for 24 hours (some are assisted with heat as i live in a cooler climate than some dyers) before being hand washed and heat soaked to assure little to no future colour bleed. For best colour last, as with most companies, we suggest washing on cold with like colours, hang to dry when possible. And if you are busy like me than you may like to hear that personally i have washed hot, mix my laundry and to date, have had no issues.
