Ive been dipping back into some older styles of dye that have revitalized a new passion for darker hues. This piece was done using an ice dye technique with some added layers. This process contributes to the unique splits and colours seen on close ups. Amidst the darkness random bursts of colour break through, reminecent of northern lights in the night sky with a light heart as the focal point. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it. 

All Tie Dyes are made using 100% cotton and Procion MX dyes. everything is set for 24 hours (some are assisted with heat as i live in a cooler climate than some dyers) before being hand washed and heat soaked to assure little to no future colour bleed. For best colour last, as with most companies, we suggest washing on cold with like colours, hang to dry when possible. And if you are busy like me than you may like to hear that personally i have washed hot, mix my laundry and to date, have had no issues.
